Start with the best breakfast in the land at
Howard's Station. A full service café with a juice bar, and scrumptious baked goods, Howard's Station is a perfect way to start your day.
After breakfast pick up a winery map and prepare for a leisurely day of winery visits throughout the Russian River Valley. There are wineries located throughout the valley, but the greatest concentration is along and around River Road, approximately 20 minutes northeast of Occidental. If you are near Korbel Champagne Cellars around lunch time, their gourmet deli is worth a visit. In an afternoon, expect to visit four to six wineries at a leisurely pace.
Just five minutes from the Occidental Hotel is Osmosis Enzyme Bath and Massage, a wonderful refuge for tranquility and renewal. Relax blissfully in a warm enzyme bath, followed by a 30 minute blanket wrap or a superb massage.
After a day of wine tasting and relaxation, nothing is more satisfying
than a Family Style Italian Dinner at Negri's "Original
Occidental" Restaurant. The minestrone soup, ravioli, and apple
fritters are legendary, as are the portion sizes. After dinner,
settle in your guest room or get ready for another night of music
and dancing at Negri's, or enjoy the more laid-back atmosphere at
the nearby local cafés.
